MasterCard Foundation Fully Funded International Scholarships 2020

The MasterCard Foundation is offering fully funded scholarships to qualified African students to pursue bachelors and masters courses at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, 2019.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP) gives opportunity to bright young talents from Africa to pursue Bachelors and Masters programs at the University of Pretoria. The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program has committed $500 million over a 10-year period to train and nurture leaders of tomorrow who will transform other people’s lives.
African citizens are eligible to apply for MasterCard Foundation Fully Funded International Scholarships for the academic year 2020. However, many scholarships will be awarded for the Master’s program as opposed to the Bachelors program.

ELIGIBLE COURSES:

BACHELORS COURSES:
Engineering Courses
• Bachelors of Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Aeronautical, Mining and Computer Engineering)
Economic and Management Sciences Courses,
• Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting, Financial, Economics, Informatics and Agribusiness Management Science)
Natural and Agricultural Sciences Course,
• Bachelors of Science Agriculture (Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness Management, Animal Science, Plant Pathology and Applied Plant and Soil Sciences)

Humanities Courses

• Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelors of Political Sciences

Education Courses

• Bachelors of Education
POSTGRADUATE COURSES:
Applicants for postgraduate or masters degrees can apply for courses in Engineering, Natural sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Economic and Management Sciences offered by the university.

SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE:

The scholarship will cover;
• Tuition and college fees
• Accommodation and meals at the student’s residence
• Monthly living stipend
• All required textbooks and handouts
• Health insurance
• Costs related to the VISA for non-South African citizens
• Travel costs to and from your home country

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The applicants Must,
• Be nationals of an African country
• Be financially underprivileged and show financial need to purse the chosen course of study
• Be potential leaders and have been linked to community uplifting projects
• Have a strong academic record and show the intent to maintain excellent academic grades
• New entrants to the course of study
• Willing to return back to their country of origin after studies
